A Note on Process

Necsis is a written world first. Everything begins with story, character, and choice.

This project uses a range of tools across different stages of development and production. In the modern era, that includes AI, which has been used as a feedback aid during worldbuilding, development and refinement—helping explore possibilities, test structure, and accelerate iteration. At every stage, creative direction, judgment, and final decisions remained human.

The Forbidden Spire is the result of authorial intent shaped over decades, refined through revision, and finalized with the help of human professionals, including developmental insight, copyediting, proofreading, cover illustration, and book design.

In short: the book is human. Future books will be as well.

AI did not replace authorship, voice, or responsibility. It served as one tool among many in the process of bringing a fully human story to the page.

Visual elements used for marketing across this site and on social media—such as character portraits, world imagery, and in-universe presentations—combine AI-assisted artwork with photography and traditional design to evoke atmosphere and invite imagination. These visuals are interpretive, not prescriptive, and exist to support the story rather than define it.
