Endarl

Geography

Endarl stretches from the giant hardwood forests of the south to the sharp conifer highlands of the north. The southern trees rise like pillars, their broad crowns forming deep shade over old paths and carved wayposts. Farther north, the land grows rocky. Pines thicken along ridges and lead toward the mountains where dwarven exiles have settled. Rivers run through every region, carrying timber, craftwork, and travelers toward the capital city of Greenwood Hold.

Culture

Craft shapes life in Endarl. Among the giant trees of the south, buildings grow from the forest itself, fitted between massive trunks and joined by elevated walks. Elsewhere, timber construction makes good use of the kingdom’s most plentiful resource. Carving, joinery, and precise toolmaking fill the days. Festivals honor the bond between craft and the living woods. Stories are spoken, sung, or etched into wood so they can be touched as well as heard.

Outlanders

Arrivals from the Shifts find a quiet welcome. Endarli watch to see if newcomers can learn, teach, or join in the work of the guilds. Those who commit to an apprenticeship or lend steady hands often earn a place. Those who disrupt the peace or ignore local customs are taken to the border. In rare case, they are removed to the Shifts where they will trouble Necsis no longer. Order and harmony matter here, and every resident is expected to add to both.
